The ProtectIR is a true infrared thermal imager, it requiresno light to operate, unlike typical intensifier products, by detecting theinfrared energy emitted from surrounding objects.  ProtectIR creates a clear picture ofsurrounding boats or stray objects.  TheProtectIR 4000M combines an infrared video camera with a pan and tiltpositioning platform.  The camera andpositioning platform are operated via a joystick controller, allowing theoperator to point the camera as needed. The infrared video image is displayed on any TV monitor.  The ProtectIR 4000M is supplied with thecamera, cable, electronics module, mounting ring, and joystick controller.
