In addition, the GPSMAP 276C supports externalNMEA sources for water depth,water temperature, and water speed through twoserial interfaces. The unit alsofeatures a new Course Deviation Indicator (CDI) -an advanced navigation toolcommonly found on aircraft, but equally practicalin the marine environment. TheCDI quickly indicates if a boat has veered offcourse.

On land, the GPSMAP 276C's Americas or EuropeanAutoroute basemap featuresinterstates and major highways. With an optionalautomotive kit that includesMapSource City Select software, data card,friction mount, and 12-volt poweradapter with speaker, drivers can receive voice-prompted turn-by-turn directionsto addresses and points of interest throughout the United States and Canada orEurope.
