The GPS 152 is a 12 parallel channel GPSreceiver loaded with adatabase of American cities and nauticalnavigation aids such as lights, buoys,sound signals, day beacons and tide data. Built-in memory of one megabyte makesthe GPS 152 compatible with Garmin's MapSourcePoints of Interest CD. With thisCD and the GPS 152, you add additional marinenavaid detail to your unit. (Otherpoint of interest features from the POI CD-ROMwill not be available for usewith the GPS 152.)

In addition to larger memory, the GPS 152 iscompatible with the Wide AreaAugmentation System (WAAS), a technology designedto improve the accuracy of GPSpositioning to about three meters.

On the outside, the GPS 152 comes housed in awaterproof case that's about fourinches high and five inches wide. A largefour-inch diagonal, high-contrastdisplay features 100x160 pixels for the ultimatein readability. A simple keypadat the bottom of the unit makes enteringinformation easy, without blocking yourview of the display.
